Service 55 to Ings Road Estate commenced
31st January
Orchard Park service, to 37th Avenue, launched 28th March and extended
to Courtlands Road on September 7th.
Express service from Paragon Station to the Ferry Terminal (King
George Dock), introduced 20th December.
12 Leyland
Panther single deckers aquired, KHCT's longest ever buses at 30
feet in length.
24-hour clock adopted for time-tabling purposes. |

service 13/15) on January 15th.
Greatfield Circular introduced 12th March.
First Branshome services commenced 1st May.
Opening of Sydney Smith and Henry Cooper schools saw large scale
contract hire operations commence 20th August.
Approval of one-man operated double-deckers given by Ministry of
Transport. |

Rokeby Park Circular commenced, linking services
63 and 73, 25th February. Picture shows Metropole
402 entering the station shortly after being placed in service.
Anlaby Road garage closed March 17th.
Single-man operation of double-deckers commenced.
Sutton Park service commenced 15th December. |

New schoolchildren's service introduced on
September 2nd to co-incide with the introduction of the City's Comprehensive
Education System. |

Restrictions on Senior Citizens concessions
amended on 4th January. Could now travel at any time, on any day,
for a nominal charge.
Bell Punch electronic fare collection systems introduced from November.

Service 47 extended to Greatfield from 21st
